Dombyra Day, which takes an important place in Kazakh culture and is considered the national musical instrument of Kazakhstan, is celebrated in Kazakhstan today. This holiday was established by the First President of Kazakhstan — Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in June 2018 and it is celebrated on the first day of July.

Young pupils of the Zhas Daryn School of Arts “The Zhas Daryn” ensemble demonstrated their mastery of playing the national musical instrument dombyra at Stella of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Constitution square of the city of Kazakhstan,

The children dedicated their performance to promoting the popularization of the national musical instrument, promoting the national program "Rukhani zhangyru", as well as the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The pupils performed the works of Dauletkerei "Kosalga", Ormankazy "Balbyraun".
